In serious cases of excessive sweating in the armpit area (hyperhidrosis axillaris), we successfully use two treatment methods: conservative injection treatment with botulinum toxin A, a bacterial protein, which acts to block nerve impulses to the sweat glands, and permanent surgical treatment by suctioning and cutting out (curettage) the armpits using special, smaller sized cannulas.
