Fingers falling asleep, reduction in feeling or tingling sensations at night indicate nerve constriction, e.g., with carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome. Depending on the nerves affected, this constriction may affect the hand, forearm or elbow.

OP duration: 1 hour. Anesthesia administered to the arm or general anesthesia upon request. Outpatient.
Plastic splint for 1 week. Suture removal after 10 days.
Able to return to work after 1-2 weeks. Sports after 4 weeks. Without treatment, constrictive nerves can be irreparably damaged.
